Kouffonissia was idyllic to her current needs, Aphrodite thought, even if she often found better waves off kamari beach on Santorini. Kouffonissia however was small, barely inhabited, and often this time of year the water was full of life. Today's waves were'nt that great - the Aegean Sea did have it's downsides, But she spent a few hours ( Read more... )

Oh, it wasn't unintended... I had no qualms about them joining me on my myriad of trysts. as for what to tell Joan... I'm sure I'll think of some story to tell her that's not Cupid's favorite.

He was adoreable as a cherub, of course.... perfect as could be.

She smiled as she continued working on the wings, gently cleaning them, never antthing more then a feather light touch

And no... I've no wings.

Laughing softly, "I'm sure you can think of a story about my dear brother than you could tell both Joan and I that will embarrass him just as much. Perhaps about his learning to fly, or when he first started to walk? Or even the first time he heard a word he shouldn't have heard and started repeating it?" Grinning, "I learned quite colourful langage at a young age."

Àille relaxed under her grandmother's touch, her wings fluttering ever so slightly, yet not enough to cause a problem with their movement. "I could not imagine not having wings, they are such a large part of who I am."

well, I imagine it'sdifferent, having never had them, I've no idea what I'm missing.... but I always liked the way they looked... the cherubs had such a rainbow of colors on them...

As forBliss, I've got a few stories tucked away. And if I ever decide to get really embarrassing, I've got old crafts he used to come up with when Hephaestus let him bang around in the forge...

Turning her head back to grin at 'Dite, "Oh? Old crafts? The beginnings of when he liked to build things by hand? I'd love to see some of his first attempts. I know he built the temple." Looking over at her brother and the look of pure horror on his face, "Oh yes... crafts sound great."

"OH no... please no... grandma..." swallowing, "I thought grandpa got rid of all of those... I mean I was just little and playing around."

Looking at Àille, "You know, this really isn't fair, I don't have any embarrassing stories about you."

Got rid of them? You must be joking. Hephaestus is the ultimate packrat... He keeps everything. and I mean *everything*... seems to think some of this old stuff might be useful again someday. They're yours, though, and I'll not go showing them off if you don't want me to.

she smiled, tugging bliss close to once more ruffle his hair lovingly But just think of how long you were a cherub, and how many ashtrays we have...

Reaching over and poking Bliss in the side, "Maybe because I'm not all that embarrassed by stuff?" She winked at Aphrodite, "Or maybe because I don't have anyone to tattle on me."

"I'm sure there are lots of stories that could be told of my youth... like the first time I tried flying by myself, off of the cliffs..." She grinned.

Sticking his tongue out at his sister, Bliss leaned into his Grandmother's touch. "Oh I can just imagine... hundreds? Or was it thousands? I always loved visiting grandpa in his forge. I really should go again soon. Last time I went, Mister Smith went with me, he was almost overcome by the heat." He giggled. "I really don't mind if you show them off grandma... it's just kind of a surprise. I didn't think grandpa kept them all... Do you know if he still has the giraffe I tried to make to look like my stuffed 'raff?"

To Àille, "I'd like to hear that story sometime... I'm sure dad has stories of me learning how to fly."

Just chuckles

He has everything you've ever made and left there. He even still has the small robotic puppy you used to play with. You ought take your sister to see him.

"Small robotic puppy?" She looked slightly confused, then smiled brightly, "I would love to meet him... Hephaestus did you say?"

"Grandpa still has Sparky? Really?" Bliss grinned, his eyes lighting up very much like the child he still was at heart.

"Grandpa is great, he always let me play in the forge while he watched over me... and let me make things. I love making stuff with my own hands... and Grandpa helped make that love grow."

"Grandma... do you think if I asked nicely grandpa would make something for me?"

She nodded, and tilted her head, frowning for just a moment, then smiling as she felt a light shift in the air
