Kouffonissia was idyllic to her current needs, Aphrodite thought, even if she often found better waves off kamari beach on Santorini. Kouffonissia however was small, barely inhabited, and often this time of year the water was full of life. Today's waves were'nt that great - the Aegean Sea did have it's downsides, But she spent a few hours ( Read more... )

Taking his grandmother at his word, Bliss and Àille flashed in. Bliss with a bunch of blue sparkles and Àille with butterflies going everywhere.

Grinning, Bliss plopped down in the sand next to his grandmother, laying on his belly; but making sure his wings didn't get in the way of her sun. "Hey grandma, I brought Àille to visit."

Àille stood there blushing, "I'm sorry if we're disturbing your time off m'Lady."

Child, when you reach my caliber, you never get time off...

She offered them both a smile, her eyes lighting a bit as she looked at Bliss. She offered him her cheek, then motioned for them to both sit

Have a seat...there's sand enough for all of us, I think.

Leaning over, Bliss gave his grandmother a kiss on the cheek. "How are you doing grandma?"

Taking a seat on the other side of Aphrodite, she smiled softly, "That is very true. I'm surprised I haven't been called home more often than I have these past few weeks." she toed the sand with her foot.

I'm doing fine, Baby... just taking a chance to reaquaint myself with my first home, thinking over some thin... I've been a bit lax. Your grandfather sends his love.

She leaned back, semi prone, hands resting in the sand supporting her as she looked between the pair ofthem, deciding for Bliss' sake to be as polite as she can to his sister

Indeed. Home can be a tricky place...

"Tell Grandpa that I love him." Bliss grinned, propping himself up on one elbow. "I go back to dad's from time to time and sleep in my old room."

Blushing and realizing she hasn't introduced herself, "I'm Àille. Though I'm sure you figured that out already." Still blushing softly, "Dad and Bliss bouth thought I should meet you... I wasn't sure if you would want to or not, but Bliss said you did..."

Looking out over the water, "This was your first home?"

Why would you think I didn't want to meet you?

And yes... well, not the beach, but the sea... I rose from the foam near Paphos... it's in Cyprus now, I think. But the Agean here has always had good inlets to seclude yourselfin.

Bliss just laid there and listened, he wanted to know too, but more so, he just wanted to see his grandma and Àille get along.

Àille looked at Aphrodite, "Because I didn't know who sent me away, or why." She looked away, putting her attention to her hands. "I was hoping that what ever it was... well, I wouldn't be sent away again. However, there is that fear."

She shrugged lightly, absently brushing a bit of sand off her midriff before answering the questions, her tone much more carefree then her thoughts I guess it would depend on the why of your leaving, and if the threat still existed.

"Well, my home is in Brazil now, so I'd be going home to do my duties. However, I do not know what the threat was in the first place. Father wouldn't tell me." She twisted her hands in her lap and her wings twitched behind her. "I just hope to have the freedom to visit my family... something I've always wanted. More than anything."

I'm not sure your Father knows... if he did, Idoubt he'd be able to keep the information from you. duplicity isn't his style at all... At the time, he probably just assumed it was fostering... we've a long history of it in times of danger, particularly with girls.

"Do you know why?" She looked over at Aphrodite again, "Why I was sent away? What the danger was?"

Mmm...

She shrugged lightly, leaning her head back, eyes closing as she turned her face into the sun, effectively avoidingany searching glances

It's been so long... I'm sure if I ever did know I've forgotten by now.
