My laptop and my brother's computer just got hit this week by a malware program that is called "Antivir Solution Pro." After some Googling, it seems to be running around hot (most of the information is dated 2 weeks ago), so heads up everyone. T-T;; I got hit a couple days ago, but my laptop barely had anything on there, so I just recovered the entire thing with my CD and had everything erased and cleaned. My brother just got hit a few minutes ago, but he was able to restore his computer from his last restore point.
What happens is this Antivir Solution Pro pops up out of nowhere and scans your computer, claiming that there are omg dangerous viruses but it can't remove them unless you purchase the full version. It directs you to the website, but my other antivirus program blocked it. However, Antivir renders literally everything useless, claiming that everything is infected. I couldn't run my antivirus program to remove it because "it was infected". I couldn't even run task manager to close Antivir because "it was infected".
A bit annoying, but Google provides a billion ways to deal with it plus more information. Go for it, guys!
And let me know if you know any other ways of dealing with this. @_@;;
EDIT:
http://trojan-killer.net/antivir-solution-pro-removal-guide-how-to-uninstall-antivir-solution-pro/ Just found this website with a good description of what it is, what it does, and what it looks like. Also, beware of PDF files and Adobe Reader apparently.
