-APPLICATION-

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST, BUT THE GAME HAS CLOSED.

Before you get to the app, have you reserved your character? Please make a reserve first. Some apps are going directly into the spam folder upon arrival, and we need to know to be looking for them.

Here you can find the format used for the application. Please fill it out to the best of your ability, and BE SURE to keep grammar and spelling in mind. We pay attention to flow, style, and cleanliness when reviewing applications.

You have two weeks to submit an app after making a reserve; there's no need to be hasty. (We find that many of the apps that come in within two or three days of making a reserve seem rushed. Take a day or two away from your app, then take the time to go over it again before submitting.)

Please place your application in the body of an email, and send to MOD EMAIL BOX with "Application" in the subject. If you have any questions regarding the application, please comment here and I'll do my best to answer!

Current turnaround time on applications is one to two weeks.

-CHARACTER-
Fandom:
Name:
Age:
Disturbed? Y/N

History:

(Here you describe the history of your Original Universe character; if your character is Disturbed and his/her past is different from canon, please briefly describe their canon history AND summarize any false memories here. Remember that Disturbed characters are not fully AU.

Also, please do not submit this section in an in-universe style. If the character comes from a setting that is not "modern Earth," and especially if their canon involves any special terminology, be sure to explain the background in a way that can be understood by someone who isn't familiar with the canon. For example, before diving into the history of a Star Trek character, set the stage with a sentence or two defining what The Federation is and the state of the universe at that point. In the case of any fandom, assume we haven't seen/played/read the source material.)

Personality:

(Go really in-depth: strengths and weaknesses, thought processes, likes and dislikes, relationships, how they view life, love, etc etc. Include reasons why they may act a certain way. Include any mental impediments/enhancements, physical ailments/alterations, so on and so forth. BE VERY THOROUGH. If you can't provide enough information to convince me that this character is actually a PERSON, then it might not be a good idea to play him or her. A further hint: everyone should have at least a couple of realistic personality flaws.)

Please answer the following questions:

1) Why is this character a good fit for this setting?

2) What do you hope they will achieve in this setting?

-SAMPLES-

Both samples should be written for the character you're applying to play.

First Person: (Please set your sample in Disturbia-verse. DO NOT use Audio/Video/Action post. If your character is not very talkative, you may write an introspective piece regarding their thoughts to arriving in Disturbia. This should be AT MINIMUM 150 words.)

Third Person: (This does NOT have to be set in Disturbia-verse, but let's at least make it something I can follow, even if I'm not familiar with the canon. This should be at least 300 words.)

Questions or Concerns?

(If you NEED your character to retain an item, please make your argument here. If you don't know what I'm talking about, please go reread the FAQ before submitting this. Please don't bother to ask about weapons or magical objects; the answer will be no.)

(Need RP character sheets and profile development resources? You may find the information at that link helpful when assembling your application. Essentially, "History" tells us about the character, while "Personality" tells us how you plan to play them. If you don't have enough info for the "Personality" section, consider answering some of the questions on the surveys at that link, about how your character would react to specific situations or occurrences. It should give you a basis on which to describe their personality in more detail.

For examples of what we're looking for, see apps for Down_to_nowhere and Misdirector; see also the app for Non-veritas, and a later version reworked for another game. These are an older version of the Disturbia app, but have the level of detail we're looking for.)
