[As he walks back to his apartment, he realizes something-- his communicator is gone. Sighing heavily, he walks back to the entrance of the undercity and walks a couple blocks to where he and Rhyme met. He gets down on his knees and begins to search.]

Now, where could it be...?

[Belphegor doesn't even bother to stop. He kicks Tamaki as he walks over him.]

[He turns slightly as he senses someone behind him-- right in time to receive Bel's kick on his cheek.]

B-Bastard! Who are you?

[He recognizes the voice instantly and inwardly sighs.]

A Prince, of course.

[He keeps moving.]

[A flash of recognition.]

Hey, you can't just do that and then walk off!

[He gets up and runs to Bel, about to grab his shoulder angrily.]

[At the first brush of the fingers, Tamaki's fate was sealed. All of the books but one drop suddenly to the ground, and Belphegor spins on his heel, moving to grip the heavy object by the edge, expertly ramming the binding of the book into Tamaki's chest.]

Did you ask for permission to touch the Prince, shitblood?

[The air rushes out of his lungs, and he coughs suddenly, taken by surprise. He reaches for the book, trying to get it off his chest.]

W-Why should I have to?

[He doesn't understand just how serious this could become.]

[Another pause. Belphegor gives him a moments consideration, before letting the book be pushed from his chest, moving to try and slam it back with more force.]

Because I'm the Prince. Obviously, you maggots should learn respect.

[He winces as the book slams into his chest again, gritting his teeth.]

You're just a violent brat!

[He tries not to look as pained as he is.]

[Belphegor lets the book drop with a sigh.]

You're boring.

[It's startlingly fast--Belphegor's knife glimmers as he pulls it from his belt, and slices it down the length of Tamaki's arm.]

Put some effort into it.

[He can't even react until it's over, it's so fast. And when he realizes, he can't even believe it for a second.]

Y-You...

[He moves toward the hand that's holding the knife, now-- attempting self defense.]

[Belphegor takes a few quick steps back, licking at the blood on his knife.]

Tastes icky, too.

[Bel is gone before he can even grab at the knife. He stares as Bel licks it, and shudders. He gazes for a while longer, trying to decide if he'll be followed if he leaves. In the end, it doesn't matter-- Bel will do the same thing whether he tries to get away or not. So he runs towards the exit of the undercity, clutching his arm and trying not to look behind him.]

[Belphegor gives a lazy chase, tossing an old knife at his retreating back, before shrugging and turning back to his books that he'd dropped.

His blood tasted bad, and he couldn't fight worth shit. Hardly a challenge at all. Slowly, Bel gathered up the rest of his books, scuffed the dripped blood into the concrete, and moves back towards his apartment.]
