I've installed a Windows service pack update, which for some inexplicable reason has fucked my computer up, resulting in it only being able to run in safe mode and its shitty 800 x 600 screen resolution. Is this Microsoft's way of telling me that I'm not allowed to have a computer older than five years? Cunts.

Can you still back up files? You might have to reinstall Windows.

System Restore should sort it, surely?

I haven't thought of that (mine is switched off, see), but it deeeeepends! If System Restore is accessible through safe mode (I don't remember), and if it doesn't make a mess which it sometimes does to me. But yeah Jam, give it a try!
