They are making a Gilligan's Island movie!
It is apparently in the works and is rumored to have a (July) 2011 expected release date. The following is what my casting for the movie would look like.

The Skipper: John C Reilly or Jeff Bridges
The Professor: Cillian Murphy or Cliff Curtis
Thurston Howell III: Alan Arkin or Alec Baldwin or Morgan Freeman
Lovey Howell: Kathy Bates or
Ginger: Amy Adams or Jayma Mays (the creator wants beyonce)
Mary Ann: Zooey Deschanel or Rachel McAdams
