People Are Fucking Spoiled And It Makes Me Sick!
Seriously, I am sitting here reading people's live journals and it makes me sick to my stomach! People are so fucking spoiled! And not are only are they spoiled the tone is SO fucking unappriciative!
Holidays are a discusting time of year in the first place. Reading some of the dribble on LJ makes it 100 times worse! What the hell is wrong with humanity. It seems like all people care about it what they get from others.
Personally I enjoy getting pressies too, but there is more to the holidays and life in general as well! You think? I have always gotten more a rush from giving to others. I was blessed this year with a little sister.
MY friend Ed's lil sis is adopted. Her mum was murdered by her dad when she was 5. But Heidi (Ed's mum) has had Taneia as a foster child since the lil brat was 13 days old. Taneia's been on the waiting list for a big sister through Big Sisters of RI for a while, and the waiting list is 4 years long. She wouldn't even be up for a sister til she's um 15-ish. She is 10 1/2 now,
She is the most gorgeous lovable lil thing ever. She is 10.5, African American, and I can go on forever about her. I met her once and we chose each other. I love her so much! She is a doll!
I spent about 150 dollars on her for Xmass. I really need a new digital camera, but gave that up to make the holiday of a 10 year od girl. To me that is the meaning of Christmas. I may not be Catholic or really celebrate Christmas, but I still have a goddamned sense of family.
It makes me sick to see today's youth totally wrapped up in nothing more than what will be under the tree for them. I have to agree when people say "What has happened to America's youth?"
You may think I am pissed that I got nothing for Christmas or jealous of what you got. But I you have another thing coming. I don't mind not getting anything. The greatest gifts in the world, I already have.
I have my health, my family, my friends, a place to live and food to eat. What more can a person ask for? Not too fucking much, let me tell you. I may not have a lot of money or material posessions, but I am more rich than any of you can hope to be!
