Reprieve? Second day of the new term.
I feel a bit froshy everytime I look at my schedule, but I guess I should "embrace" this time in my life, as it will be the last time we change classes in HS.
You know.. I actually felt good in Poetry. All day yesterday I was thinking: "A really good teacher can make the best of anything.. and won't let outside forces hold him back from being himself." He truly proved that today, so I eased down a bit. What a passionate man.. passionate for words, sounds, language, art, and all forms of good literature. Like I said, you don't need to have an interest in the topic he talks about, but by the end of class, I'll bet you will have.
I headed to Many Faiths, and as I walk into the class, who do I see in the dark corner? Nik~sama.
Her: "Daphne!"
Me: "Nicole??! You're in this class?!"
Her: "Yeah!"
Me: "OMG AHHH *little girl yell*" *runrunrunHUUGG-eru* ^______^
I was so freaking happy and excited to finally have class with someone I knew ( excluding webpage XD That was like a free for all ) And it turned out that all religion classes had a free today, so we kinda trotted along to find Vik and the rest, and we spent our free together. ^_^
First Aid was cool, Ms. V is.. strange. But it's kosher. XD She must think I'll be the one to make the sarcastic remarks throughout the class, which is true, but funny to know if I gave that impression so quickly. It'll be pretty laxed, in a less formal kind of way, and the room doesn't get to me so much then. Wow, you know who I sound like? The lady from the short story "The Yellow Wallpaper" .. which is a story that really got to me. I guess Mr. Bryan really was a good teacher, but I didn't appreciate it at the time, I just thought he was weird. O.o He still is, that doesn't change. XD
We got into supplies for Photography.. the price range is gonna hurt my pocket, but I know I am able to pay for things if I save up about a month's wages. I know I could take the easy way out and ask my mom to pay, but I need to be responsible/semi-independent..
Bio was last.. nothing eventful.
I joined Greek Club today! I learned 2 dances in like 20 mins. I find the "hard" one easy.. I'm going to ask Stacey about stuff, she's been taking Greek dance for years, and taught me my first one. ^^ I was obviously the oddball out, and I had at least 10 people ask me/say to me one of the following: "You're in this club?" "You're not Greek!" "You're Greek?" "You joined?" Yeah. I think I'll be in the International Night show! :D! Coincidentally, Greek Club will be preforming first. ARGH, but you know what sucks?! There won't be a DJ for Intl Night!! WTF is that?! The show is really great and all, but hell, the whole dance/orgy thing at the end is what made it interesting. XDD That really blows. Maybe they'll change that or something..
I stayed for VEEG to play one game of DDR.. I failed Burning Heat horribly, but I'm not surprised since I can hardly beat it in the arcade. XD
And I found that my dad has a 35mm camera! I remember playing with it when I was little, and he swears it works perfectly, which kicks ass. He has a ton of lens accessories for it too. O.o;; I never knew that.
I missed Self Defense today for no reason. -.- How disappointing.
And Lesley- if you read this, I'm taking good care of Donnie, you'll get it by the end of the week, okay? Don't worry! :D
