This news report is pissing me off so much. It makes me so angry to think that people are actually complaining that they're loved ones aren't being replaced by enough money. I'm very, very sorry for everyone who was affected by the bombings, and yes, it's very upsetting that people lost their lives, but it's not as if it was the government's fault, and I can't understand why there is actually *any* compensation. Ten years ago there never would have been *anything* for these people. (E.g. people who died because of the awful conditions in coal mines fifty years ago are only now getting the chance to claim compensation for the conditions that in a way were the government's fault.)
Anyway, I think it's terrible and petitioning isn't going to bring their relations back. Although I do agree that there's an argument for help for those who were disabled in the blasts, but it shouldn't be referred to as compensation. Aid, or something like that, but theres no call for compensation.
Of course there wouldn't have been complaints about the amount of compensation at all if not for the precedent set by a certain government after a different certain tragic event...
And now for something funny -
This is hilarious, and even funnier is the fact that the boy is suggesting that he might sue for (wait for it) being laughed at. *giggle* Funniest thing in the news for ages.
