Today was interesting. I finally made a decison about Mono. Mainly that I don't want to work there, and that since my toe was *throbbing* after just wandering about and going to the pub yesterday then I shouldn't actually try and do anything that requires me to stand up for 7 hours non-stop. So I shall be going in there on Tuesday to quit and then ( Read more... )

Well, as I said, I've read most of them, but there are six missing and (in order of wanting to read them) They are: Wyrd Sisters, Witches Abroad, Lords and Ladies, Maskerade, Interesting Times, and Eric. So which ones do you think I should buy, and are my preferences based on titles way off?

Of that seloection, I'd get Interesting Times and mm. Either Lords And Ladies or Maskerade.

I have the audio version of Lord and Ladies witth Tony Robinson reading. It rocks ;-)

I've never been able to get along with Tony Robinson, but I imagine he might be ok reading Pratchett. I actually really want to buy The Truth, Night Watch, and Going Postal, but I've read them all at three times each already (from the library) and I want to get the ones I haven't read before I buy my favourites.

*loves all three of them*

I can't find my copy of Going Postal. I think I may have done that "lend it out, never get it back" thing.

And now I think of it, I think I have a spare copy of a Pratchett paperback sonewhere. Let me see if its one of the ones you're missing.

Do you have a copy of Small Gods?

You leant Going Postal to someone! No! Get it back! I'll help if you want, I hate the whole 'lend it never get it back thing' because I'm a generous person and I keep forgetting who I need to make sure I don't give things to!

I only own two books by Terry Pratchett (terrible I know) Reaper Man and Moving Pictures, because they were ones that I hadn't read, and they came in the gorgeous WHSmiths black and gold covers. So in answer to your question... No I don't own Small Gods.

Would you like a copy? It's been sitting in my drawer about three years now, so I should probably give it to *someone*.

I think I left it to someone just before a jobchange. Buying another copy's probably gonna be neccesary sadly.

NO! Thats upsetting. I usually get my things back after a looooooooong time, I think the record is for my Star Wars videos, but that wasn't entirely her fault cos we didn't see each other for ages.

I'd love a copy, thats one of the DW novels that I can never remember the ending to.

How much d'ya want for it? (I can help you get another copy of GP!)

No worries about payment - I think the paperbacks only go for like £2 on ebay now anyway. I'm kind've on a mission to free up shelfspace (I actually had to ummage through my pyjama drawer to find it as it didn't fit on my shelves)I'll post it next time I do a post office run - email your address to shewhoguardsDELETETHIS@gmail.com and I'll try to remember next week.

And with lending this its probably partly my own fault. I change jobs too often. I need to remember not to lend anything I like to workmates ever. (This is currently making me sad because I'd love my workmates to see Firefly, but I like my copy of Firefly toooo much).
