Due to unforseen circumstances (the chinese takeaway we use the weeks we don't get fish & chips was closed) we decided to have fish & chips tonight (like that's a tragedy!) and that meant that I walked to Grove Park & back. Unfortunately I may have decided to wear my heeled boots to do said walk (having first determined that I was actually feeling up to that idea) and halfway home I stepped onto my right leg and something inside my knee went "click". Just a little click, nothing particularly dramatic. It felt like something moved slightly inside my knee as well, but since it didn't particularly hurt, and I could still walk, I continued on my way and got home to eat the dinner. However, I am now somewhat uncomfortable in the knee region in that leg and things keep clicking. I am slightly worried. I will carry on regardless anyway, and I shall get really worried if it starts hurting significantly, or if it swells up. Having said that, it swelled up after the Kane gig and I still did nothing.
I was supposed to go to the hairdresser and attempt a appointment to get my hair cut on Monday today, but what with one thing and another I didn't get around to doing it. I did manage to give my Dad a competative game of Scrabble (250/285 were the scores - mine the losing one!) and I managed to lose a game of Trivial Pursuit as well! I also sorted out a problem with the promotional flyers for the CPP's May Production, and I have perfected the poster, and mail merged all of the names I'm supposed to be delivering booking forms to. That took a wee while, since I had to retype the entire list of names I had been given because the surnames were before the first names, making it hellish to address the booking forms without making some changes!
Daddy has been having fun with his new computer, including teaching me how to do the mail merge (*hangs head in shame*) and learning how to send files using AOLIM. I think he's bored now because he's had challenges all week. We do have one computer problem we haven't managed to fix, our printer margins seem to be misaligned. I'm going to try realigning it tomorrow (too lazy to do it now!) but I honestly am not sure whether that's going to work.
I'm REALLY looking forward to tomorrow, in a sports sense, since Arsenal are playing Middlesborough, and Van Persie is back! Also, Theo is better, as is Toure. So, all we need is Rosicky to come back, and we can take on the world. Unfortunately when it comes to the Champions League we don't have to face the world, just Liverpool. Amazingly, we have to play Liverpool three times in the space of... a week. Yup, both legs of the Champions League happen in one week, and the Premiership match that we play that week is also against Liverpool. Tough week! Another reason to be sportingly happy this weekend is, AUSSIE GRAND PRIX! I would watch the Qualifying tonight, but as I want to actually get some sleep tonight I shall be watching the repeats. *bounces* Formula One Rocks (see icon!).
On a similar note, Daddy and I are mucking about on the computers, but we have Sports Relief on in the background, and I was just watching Jonathan Ross and Michael Parkinson talking about sports personalities that Parky has interviewed and I finally got to see a clip of Muhammed Ali when he was in his prime. It's so easy to see now why everyone was in awe of him. I feel honoured to have seen that clip, since I was too young to have experienced it when he was first great.
I think I shall stop now, since I have written quite a lot, and while I have a lot more to say, most of it comes from an angry place, and I want to get my head straight before I actually start in on that. I want to make sure that if I do let my anger out, it isn't for the wrong reasons.
In the meantime here is a cute picture of my kitty playing hide & seek!
ETA Frivolities - God James Toseland is a very attractive man. He's so multi-talented as well - singer, pianist, motorbike rider, the list probably goes on! *loves*
ETA2 - Nessun Dorma! *LOVES HARD* And, strangely appropriate!
