I hate this.

when you're hooked, you're hooked.
you can flop all around on that piece of rusted metal
the more you squirm, the more it hurts
but relaxing while getting dragged to your death
feels that much worse

so what do you do?
when the addiction just won't quit?
they say it's a disease, but it has no cure
no hope of finding a vaccination
cause you can't have a little without expecting
to want a lot.

so you just let it go
decide the aftermath isn't worth it
but when it's dangling right in front of you
with all it's disgusting appeal
you begin to forget
that it nearly killed you in the first place
