I bought my first pinballmachine in 1988. A Bally Medusa. Because I was still a student I didn't have enough money to buy another one ( I really liked Phatom but couldn't afford it) for years... When I started working in 1996 I finally had the oppertunity to start collecting. In the years that followed I owned fifteen machines (Medusa, Strange Science, Whirlwind, Startrek Ann., Batman DE, Starwars DE, Startrek TNG, WorldCup Soccer '94, Last Action Hero, Arabian Nights, Scared Stiff, Theatre of magic, Adams family, Pinball Magic, Attack from Mars) with in my more fanatical years having four or five pinballmachines in the livingroom at once. Luckily I always have a partner who doesn't mind, I can imagine having such a large object in your livingroom isn't something that everyone appreciates.

But as we are planning on moving somewhere else at the end of this year, I'm pretty sure we will end up in a much smaller space than we are used to. There won't be enough room to place my four babies so after thinking about it for a few weeks I decided that it was time to part our ways. There were some friends who suggested to adopt one pin for a while, but all considered I didn't think that was something I wanted. What I wanted was something new!

When I folded the heads and removed the legs, I must admit that I had some doubts. It took me ten years of searching for a that one special pinball in good (or beter) condition and now I was going to sell them. Or rather trade them in.

So this is the one O+
The Simpsons Pinball Party. Besides the fact that I like the TVshow, it's great fun to play. Not a drainer and it's easy to keep the ball in play for a decent time. It has some cool toys in it and I really like the TV with leds that shows messages and hints. Great custom voices, I think I read somewhere on the internet that not all original voice actors have contributed and I haven't heard any Marge samples (yet). It arrived at our house yesterday evening and we already played a lot of games on it. It's in such excellent condition, two years of home use only. I never owned a pin before that actually smells like wood on the inside. I was used to the scent of smoke and beer :D

I had a great time with my old machines but I must say I'm very happy with the new one.
Ohh, and I think it's the first pinball my girlfriend really likes, which is a thumbs up!
