08 Accidental Video
[The communicator crackles to life at an awkward angle, but what it shows is unmistakeable.]
[China with his back to the camera. Then Japan, katana in hand, striking with a practiced downward slash, and before China has time to react or even scream, following up with a particularly vicious stab. For a moment they stay there, as if suspended in time, and then China falls forward with a strangled cry.]
China-san where the sun sets. I am Japan from where the sun rises, and do not think--
[He pauses after he removes the blade from China, sliding his blade clean on something nearby as if it were nothing, and sheathing it. He had been approaching, but now he stopped. There was a moment where his face showed nothing, and then horror, as he rose his hands defensively and stepped back. Another pause, and Japan knelt beside China, blocking most of the view. He couldn't find words.]
[It had happened so fast. China's hand rose shakily towards Japan's face. His voice was quiet, but audible.]
...Why?
[The horror that was already on Japan's face spread to more of a panic. He wasn't quite sure if he should even touch China anymore, it seemed, as his hands shook in the air between them. Eventually, he settled on falling backwards and standing, stumbling away and shaking his head. A communicator. He'd call someone else. Call someone else and leave...]
[The expression on China's face is alarmingly blank. He watchs helplessly as Japan leaves him, his hand dropping, before the tears begin to fall. He speaks in Mandarin, sounding hollow.]
Not again. Not like this- [He yells, and attempts to curl up on himself as the pain sets in.]
[And Japan's hands grab sloppily for the communicator that fell. He's not even sure whose it is about now. Or why it's out.. He doesn't care. It doesn't matter.]
P-please, a doctor to Gohl! As soon as possible! I-I cannot.. Please arrive here as soon as you can! [And he drops the thing to the floor, literally drops it, before kicking it over to China and running.]
