(no subject)
I had the most wonderful birthday yesterday! :)
Mom made me an omelet and some biscuits and tea (with amaretto!) for breakfast before I went to volunteer and when I got to the thrift store Eddy (the cutest 6th grader in the world) had remembered my birthday and gotten me one of those mini parfaits at McDonalds. And then, as if I hadn't already eaten enough, Dad and Connor brought donuts for everyone (I should have known that that was the only thing that would have gotten Connor up before noon :)). Maple donuts <3
The second piece of the Nightmare Before Christmas village came yesterday so now we have Jack's house and Dr. Finkel's lab... I was so excited when the first piece came a little while ago because it was a surprise for all of us from Mom and wow, it's soooo cool looking. I got an iPod and a radio/stereo/alarm thing that you hook it into so everyone can hear it which was such a great surprise because that was a perfect gift but I would never have expected it. I'm so excited that we'll all be able to listen to it at the same time... Now I just have to figure out how to get it so Ciara's Green Day CD's don't somehow find their way onto the iPod... >.<
I saw The Constant Gardener with Daddy and Connor and it was very good... Tragic and pretty intense, but very well done. Then we went to Sushi Thai and when I went to wash my hands, Ciara told them it was my birthday (-.-) and they brought me tempura ice cream with a little candle in it... It was so adorable and tempura ice cream is the best dessert ever soooo...
And after all of that, my Funfetti(!) cake at 11 P.M. and I finished the shirt I was painting. Now all I have to do is sew it together. Thank goodness it's a three day weekend :)
