i wish i could write stories

I saved my beginning-of-summer entry for when I actually felt like I was in summer and that's just happened today. I listened to some great music, talked to some lovely ppl, and felt like I wanted to draw which all equals summer to me. I don't have a lot to say... I'm really enjoying the fact that I can sleep whenever I want and it's just such an incredible weight off my mind, body, and soul that I don't have to do school for a while and I have very few obligations to... anything at the moment. Then again, I'm just echoing the sentiments of rest of my schooless (that looks a bit strange), um, fellows... and all. I have to stop talking now. Incoherent. Happy Summer everyone. :)

P.S. Everyone needs to watch The Black Samurai... It's important because, besides being hilarious, it can vastly increase your tolerance for confusion, nonexistent plots, and general ridiculousness in film. I loved it. You'll love it too. As a fun side activity, try to figure out what all the midgets and vultures symbolize.

P.P.S.
"Well, I saw Star Wars Wednesday at midnight as planned... Quite an experience. Kai is so funny.

Anyway, I really did like it, despite the fact that I was disappointed with a few things, and I found it very sad and... moving. I don't know. It was pretty tragic, even if it did end on a hopeful note... It's the worst when you identify with a character and care about them and you KNOW what's going to happen and you're just sitting back thinking, "No, no! Don't do it!" the whole time... Especially when it's someone who's misguided and, like, seriously emotionally torn/wounded rather than genuinely evil... *sigh*

I'm finding it more and more difficult to completely accept movies as I get older. I just start noticing things and I know it's either because I've had a fairly decent amount of experience with all kinds of movies and I'm really beginning to see what qualities to look for... or I'm just getting old and crotchety and cinematically jaded ;p ... I like to think it's the former - especially because, 99% of the time, I can find at least one thing about a movie that I really like..."
