Everywhere I look is a darkness

Hmmm, i'm slow updating again. It is also late and I should be in bed.

Anyway, Sunday was fucking great. The end. Not really, that's not really the end yet. Me and Wayneyboy went to see The Fall at the Waterfront, I have to say that they were fucking class. We got there kinda late because we'd heard that there was a "Punk poet" as the support act so we weren't all that bothered about him. To our surprise we actually got there before he'd even started so we watched him, actually really enjoyed him and laughed our bollocks off, literally (you won't get that joke unless you've seen him). Maybe I should explain that, you probably had to be there, it won't work now. He was more like a comedian than a poet, his poems were ok but him telling jokes and being generally funny was more entertaining. Check out his website here http://www.johncooperclarke.com/

So yeah, that was cooler than expected. We then had to wait about for a while because Mark E. Smith being Mark E. Smith, does what the fuck he wants and goes on when he feels like it. The band all came on, started getting in to the groove of a song and a couple of minutes later the man himself stepped out. We were then treated to a wonderful show, Mark E.Smith up to his usual tricks of turning up/down amps, singing into whatever mic is nearest to him, hitting random keys on the keyboard and that kind of thing. It was fucking wonderful, they were even better than the other two times i'd seem them. I could ramble on for longer but i'm tired.

The only other interesting stuff I can think of that I need to mention is the cool band stuff that's going on. First of all, Laura (some of you will know her) has the CD I sent her, she really likes it and has been recommending us to anyone she can, including people at record labels! Laura is lovely. She's coming to Reading now too, woo! Also, we've been offered a gig at the Arts Centre again, I love that place. This time it's for Wilde Club Records, who back in the 90's put on Nirvana, Mudhoney, L7 and I think also the Manic Street Preachers when they all played Norwich. We're going to be supporting a band called The Mutts, I don't know much about them but I know they're signed to Fat Cat Records, who I have actually heard of so that's cool. That's on 29th April, it's going to be great. We've been offered the chance to play at the Waterfront in Norwich too, that'll probably be in June or July though.

Ooooh bugger, forgot to mention. Me and Wayne have each won an Ovation Pinnacle electro-acoustic guitar at an auction. We got our dad to go and bid for us because it was during work hours. http://www.backstreet.co.uk/acatalog/PINNACLE.html They're worth over £600 and we got them for about £300 each. Not bad at all.

Expect some nice acoustic tunes on KunK releases in the future hehe.

I'm done, bed time now.
