As she left Kagura's house, Rin heard Kagura call out to her before the door slid shut, but she didn't turn around or stop. Kagura and her family were probably used to her acting withdrawn or disappearing. She didn't know why they bothered trying to include her the way they were now, when she felt like an outsider. She could never feel comfortable about the situation.
The visit she had planned was going to be a lot later than she had originally intended... In spite of this, Rin hoped that she'd still be able to catch Shigure without anyone else around - it would be easier that way. But if that didn't work out, she would find an alternative at that point.
Brisk steps, which only faltered slightly a few times, eventually took the girl to her destination. She slowed her pace, approaching the house, then stopped in front of it rather than entering immediately, a small distance remaining between her and the door. She threw a glance around. Nobody seemed to be out here; it was probably safe to assume that everyone who lived in Shigure's home was either inside the house or somewhere else.
Rin drew herself up straighter and resumed walking, heading for the front door to let herself into the entrance area.
