something even better - Quinn and Will; G
Will looks up at the tap on his door, and smiles when he sees who it is.
"Hey, Quinn, come on in."
She smiles back as she steps inside, walking over to his desk and settling primly in one of the chairs.
"What's up?" Will asks, setting his pen down.
Quinn looks down at her hands, still smiling, and he notices the piece of paper for the first time.
"What's that?" he asks, frowning curiously.
Her smile widens. "It's my acceptance letter." She lifts her gaze to his face. "I got into Yale."
Will's eyes widen. "Really?"
She nods, laughing softly, and he pushes to stand, walking around his desk to pull her into a hug.
"That's amazing, Quinn," he murmurs, sweeping his hand over her back and smiling when she squeezes him. "I'm so proud of you."
"I'm proud of me too," she says when they pull apart, her lips curving again.
"You should be. That's seriously incredible," Will says, leaning against the edge of his desk and looking at the letter when she hands it to him. "After everything you've been through, everything life has thrown at you, you've come out on top. I always knew you would."
Her smile is gentle as she takes the letter from him. "I remember sophomore year, when everything was just so bad, and you told me that I was going to get something even better than what I had before. It's taken a while, but I think it's finally happening."
"I've always believed in you, Quinn," he says softly.
"I know," she replies, just as softly. "I think you're the only one who has, and -" She pauses, pressing her lips together, and then looks at him, her eyes shining very slightly. "Thank you for that. I appreciate it more than I can ever say."
He straightens to hug her again, and she rests her cheek on his chest as she hugs him back.
"You want to share the news with the glee club this afternoon?" he asks when they break apart.
She nods, smiling as she swipes her free hand over her eyes. "I kind of wanted to sing something too, if that's okay."
"Yeah, definitely! I can't wait to hear it."
She smiles and starts towards the door, and then pauses in the doorway before turning to look at him again.
"Thanks, Mr. Schue," she says softly.
He smiles and nods. "Any time, Quinn."
