I haven't updated in a while. Which is a shame. So recap.

WHAT THE FUCK ABOUT TITLE IX?

Now back to the questions that ion_bond gave me for inteviewing purposes. The meme is I answer these, then you comment, then I'll give you 5 questions.

1. Why don't you write fanfic?

I kinda do. I did when I was younger. But, haven't been doing any recently. Part of it I think is what I feel like is my inability to write as well as what I read - not rl writing, which I think I'm gifted at, but fandom writing. Part of it is the scope of my ambitions. I get this huge epics in my head which I have no way of finishing. I have like a complete idea for an epic Buffy/Oz AU in my mind, but haven't got to spitting it out yet. Part of it is also just the amount of commitments I have in rl. After drawing, writing, editing, giving tours, dj-ing, and hanging out with friends I'm exhausted. However, summer is around the corner. I think my goals are going to be:

1.) Do really well at my summer art intensive study.

2.) Do yoga. Tons of yoga.

3.) Write my Buffy and Oz glitter epic.

2. As a fellow Bay State girl, what do you think of Faith? Should she say "wicked" more? Do you think she's really from Boston, or is she from 45 minutes away and says Boston 'cause it's easier, like everyone else from Massachusetts?

Hmmmm, I think she's from Boston. She has that street smart vibe that is incapable of forming in suburbia. I can see her growing up in Hyde Park maybe. She should say 'wicked awesome B' much more.

3. What's the best concert you've ever been to?

I think it was the Le Tigre (with Gravy Train opening) concert. It was at the Avalon, which is right opposite from Fenway. This normally would not be a big deal except that it was during the Yankees/Red Sox world series. So many drunk people. My mom insisted on making sure I got to the club, and not just dropping me off by Landsdowne. Which was a good thing since the car couldn't even get up to Landsdowne. And we walked past it. Once I got there I hooked up with this cool girl who I was kinda concert buddies with, we weren't super-close but were of the few that liked the same music and thought each other were the shit. Then I had a fab time inside, dancing and singing along, hanging out with my friend and her really nice friend from RISD summer program. We were all sighing over the members of Le Tigre in the throws of girl!crush.

After the concert I saw a great drunk lady in just a huge sweatshirt on her top half and alot of sequins. A guy asked me if I knew where he could get some weed, which made me feel pretty cool. Then after, even though I hadn't turned 18 yet, my friends mom knew the dj at the free after-party, so we went to it. He snuck us up through the back of the Axis into the other club. So cool. Then, who was in the corner? The band. Then it was just JD. My friend was like we have to talk to them, but not say anything boring.

So she went up and asked JD for a drink. JD gave her a corona, AND ASKED US IF WE WANTED ANYTHING. WHICH WAS AMAZING. WE SAID NO AND THEN SAT NEXT TO JD FOR A WHILE.

Then after JD left we went and hung out a Burger King until my friends Mom could pick us up and take us all home.

4. Why do you have Betsy and Tacy listed in interests, but not Tib? Do you have some problem with Tib?

I love the Betsey and Tacy books, especially when they grow up and it is about Betsey and Joe. Betsey is not some perfect woman who never felt the need to try and attact a boy (Mary Sue's just attract them effortlessly even though they really aren't interested in /that/.) Betsey messed around with boys, liked some that never liked her back, didn't know her own mind. As a teenager it kinda validated how I felt. That it was sometimes took a bit of work and a bit of fun to get with the men. That it was okay to like guys. That it was fun and good to just be a normal girl. Tib just wasn't such a part of the older books. I also grew to love the other older books of Lovelace's ouevre. I used to take out some of the older books of Betsey every couple times I went to the library, reading them over and over.

5. Rec me something to read. Something Firefly, maybe? (There. I ended in a question mark.)

A real book to read is The Last Samurai. I wish I documented the fic I read more, hmmmmmmm, I just read something great in Firefly but I don't remember the name. Ugh. Okay, here is something def. good.

Something in Leather by Mosca. I think Mosca is an amazing writer who never disappoints and I love her Wash/Zoe love tale.
