I finally cleaned my room tonight after the reckless abandon during testing. It’s really nice and neat, except now all I can do is sit around and listen to this Japanese girl sing bossa nova and not get anything out in fear being too lethargic later on to put it back.
These few weeks have been rather uneventful saved for a lot of club banquets. From now on, I will devote myself to making the remaining banquets of the year into dessert potlucks instead of normal potlucks (so then I can finally make my puddy-ish tiramisu and stop pretending to like the fried rice all the mothers bring to these things). Also, I’ve been building my final project cow and managed to get the worst exacto knife cut after a long history of exacto knife cuts. This means that I gunked all over the poor cow and now have to paint him before I horrify my classmates with my bloody project on Tuesday. Right now, I probably should be doing my extended essay or world lit. 1 paper or chemistry model but I can’t bring myself to do anything until it gets obscenely late. My entire family is like this- it’s one thirty and my dad remains in his office, my mother fries things, and my 3-year-old sister putters around downstairs. One of her God toys from The Cross daycare center keeps shouting prayers in a sharp electronic voice and I want to wrap it with a quilt, throw it to the bottom of the ocean, where it will be eaten by a bottom-feeding fish, which will be eaten by a whale. This train of thought lulls me to bed.
Oh, and Torrey Pines, may I visit Friday, June 10th? It’s the day after my school ends.
