Appartment seeking

Finding an appartment is a pain in the ass, let me tell you. Emilie and I wandered all around the streets in Montreal for at least five hours today. Hard times. The only place we found that looks like a potential place (although we didn't visit it yet) is a 8 ½ apparment, 5 bedrooms, corner Rosemont / 2e avenue that would cost $260 / month + heating and bills. We might visit it this weekend, I'm excited! We also visited one of the sketchiest place ever, and 'sketchy' is the word I used for over 100 times today "look at that, its so sketchy and so ghetto!, Why its not the one just right here with the balcony and the awesome colors that is for rent?" I would so love to have 4 other roommates, so much better than only 1, or 2. A big family for me in Montreal, I don't want to feel all alone. Plus, the owner of the building was the only one we talked to that sounded actually human and friendly, which makes it less uncomfortable for me to say I have a landlord if he's a nice guy afterall. The rent isn't THAT expensive too and it would be a nice place to stay, close to Uni, close to downtown... and close to Gab & Josie too. AND the appartment would be a total vegan/vegetarian environment, which makes it very appealing for me. It feel likes I'm going to be as poor as an empty pocket when I will move, I'm counting on dumpster diving a LOT to feed myself. I hope I will make it through and move to the city this summer, I'm excited! A new challenge!
