"Many independent voters did not know that they had to request a Democratic ballot, and some were denied by poll workers confused about the party rules, election officials said. It was hard to tell how many independents who wanted to vote in the Democratic primary were denied. "I think it's a small problem, unless it's an extremely close election," Contra Costa County Clerk Stephen Weir said."
well.... don't you think it could have been a lot CLOSER if everyone who'd wanted to exercise their right to vote had been allowed to do so, Mr. Weir?
i am surprised at how upset about this i am.
