If you decide you want some ham in your egg sandwich, then decide to dice the ham up into tiny chunks and then throw them in the pan first so they will fry up nicely before being hit by the egg, by the time you are ready to add the egg, the rapidly-expanding steam in the ham chunks will cause them to behave like popcorn, so when you lift the lid to add the egg, the ham will escape and ham-fueled hijinx will ensue!
