Definitely our resident teapot-tree! Kidding, kidding. Ahh, piernik, you made this quite difficult. I can see you as "Squall and Bartz in a blender," but when trying to find a balance between those two characters... well, I thought of a lot of different ones, and this may come as a surprise (or not?), but I'm going with Kuja in the end. He doesn't have a very big role in Dissidia, so I'm going to be focusing more on his IX personality (and try to avoid spoilers since I'm not sure if you've played it), but...
Kuja is very sarcastic, logical, and and independent... that sarcastic bit in particular, he always develops unique nicknames for the other characters; there's a queen in IX who he refers to as "Elephant Lady" kind of like how you call ExDeath "Teapot". He seems incredibly calm and patient at first glance, but get on his bad since, and well, you might just find yourself blown up. His "family" - although he'd be reluctant to call them that - also makes him more aggravated than anyone else in the game since he sort of has an

Oh gosh... There's no way I can top the_404_error's Kuja as well... Oh man, there's just nothing I can add! I can totally see FFIX Kuja saying something likeONLY WHEN I'M IN MISCHIEVIOUS MOOD! But Kuja's almost always in a mischevious mood though... Oh gosh I fail. I'm gonna go hidfe in a corner now, bby.
I could see a lot of Squall, but he doesn't have the mischievious side that you have and you really remind me a lot of Kuja. He's pretty calm and collected for the most part, and he does have his own sense of justice and honor of sorts. He can be very sarcatic with people, and he also has a more playful side that shows itself with his destruction. He values knowledge to some extent, and I agree since he began to change he could value friendship and the better future response reminded me of him too. Even though he may act laid-back, he worked very hard to get where he was, and a lot of your situation answers reminded me of him too. :)
To be honest - and it might be personal bias here - but I was deadset on either voting you Cloud or Squall. Only, I read Vanja's vote and I think she swayed my mindset. I don't know that I would have considered Kuja before, but what she elaborates on does really make a lot of sense. You've got more of a mischievious and playful side than Cloud and Squall do. You've got this sense of flair about you when I read your posts and applications, come to think of it, that is pretty reminiscent of Kuja. Like the BOOM! thing, for example.
Being a villain, Kuja is still pretty calm, collected and cold, but ... well, you know. Everyone else has pretty well covered that base.
At first, I was debating between Cloud or Squall...but I can't really argue with the_404_error's excellent reasoning for her Kuja vote (especially taking into consideration his character in FFIX in particular). Considering how in the end he actually did somewhat yearn for friendship, I can imagine him viewing it in much the same way you did in this application (especially when it would come to saving a friend in trouble) and placing a great deal of importance on it. He's an intelligent, analytical, and independent person who can be very sarcastic, calm, controlled, and patient too...and he is definitely not someone you want to get mad at you because he will become very aggressive in his mannerisms at that point. He's definitely more of an offensive fighter when he does decide to fight others, and I could picture him inventing new strategies for each opponent he faces. He can work with others, but it tends to be on a 2-person basis (such as when he was interacting with Kefka)...but mostly he prefers solo work. He definitely has moments where
