WHAT'S GOIN' DOWN? PLOT'S GOIN' DOWN.
Hey, guys. The next battle will be going up on Friday, October 8th. That's six days from now.
If you're new here, WE'RE GLAD TO HAVE YOU. But that's not what I was going to say. If you're new, check out the other plot posts under this tab and also the logs from the last two big battles under the '!chaos' or '!cosmos' tags on the dissideo_logs to get a feel for how things work.
Since there's a lot more planning on your part, we're gonna let you in on the twist right off the bat this time around:
Something goes wrong. Something beyond even the deities' control. And when (three days before schedule, ICly) you arrive on the battlefield, your powers are entirely gone... But that doesn't mean you're useless.
Every single character on the battlefield switches powers and abilities with some other character, friend or foe (although foe is much more amusing). Whether that's magical abilities or skills with a weapon, it transfers. They can suddenly do everything the person they swapped with could do before, and the other person has your character's powers.
So let's say Lightning and Serah switch. That means that not only does Serah have advanced Ravager magical abilities, but she can shoot and wield a sword like a seasoned pro. It just... comes naturally. Like an old skill you just remembered you had. Lightning, however, won't be able to swordfight or shoot at all. It's like she's gotten brain damage and she just... can't figure out how she used to do it.
Any questions can be asked here. Also, since it's only six days away and since you know the twist this far ahead, this post will double as a plotting post. Find yourself a trading partner, folks. (Just a note: The best way to do so would likely be to detail what your character can do in your partner-finding post.)
