Why did it seem like just when Jill thought things couldn't possibly get any stranger, they almost always immediately did? Then again, that was the story of her life, it seemed.

Stepping from the Edge into the Rift, Jill hurried through the area at a brisk pace, senses perked for any sign of movement as her thoughts raced. It was, of course, impossible for Rebecca to have been taken from a different time period. As much as Jill had seen over the years, time travel was on the upper portion of her list of things she'd never believe in; everything had a logical answer. After Chris, especially, she was still inclined to believe that Rebecca's memory had been tampered with--even if that didn't explain why she still didn't look a day over eighteen. Or why her amnesia differed from Chris'. Or why there hadn't been any other cases of memory loss here that Jill had heard of. Perhaps the Cosmos side was...?

One thing at a time, girl.

Tightening her grip on her holstered gun, Jill stepped toward the next crystal, arriving a moment later in the dimly lit Planet's Core. She glanced at the floating pillars and stone with surprising disinterest, considering; she'd been here before, briefly, and weird had become too large a part of her daily work life for these odd places to catch her by surprise more than once. There weren't any of those colored clones around at the moment, but her fingers remained ready on her Beretta, just in case.

At the center of the area, she stopped, the echo of her heels on stone fading after a heavy several seconds. In plain view for when Rebecca--or anyone, really--arrived, Jill waited, and after a moment allowed a fraction of her focus to shift as she gave the zipper on her suit another useless tug. Despite the much appreciated food, bed, and shower that her room had provided, she hadn't been given anything in the way of clothing, meaning she was left with this damn thing. Even if the man himself was dead and gone, wearing the suit he'd given her was just one big reminder of Wesker--another source of annoyance she didn't need.
