Kefka had been sitting around in his tower's throne, bored as all get out. He was itching to blow something or someone up. He had initially been overjoyed to find his monument to non-euclidean geometry intact with all its twisted walkways and odd angles featured prominently. But what good is something like this without someone to share it with? To that effect, he attempted to lure others in, opening the portals that led into the door-less and windowless chamber wide, almost as if inviting a fly into a spider's web.
