When: A few days after initial arrival.
Where: Interdimensional Rift, neutral territory.
What: Solidus goes scouting by himself, partly to get the lay of the land, partly to go scheme by himself somewhere that isn't a fiery wasteland swarming with psychopaths.
Type: Either/or.

Solidus spotted the boy with the- was that a tail?- at about the same time as Zidane saw him. Who is he? One of ours or theirs? Adopting a nonchalant attitude that masked the intensity of his mind, Solidus folded his arms beneath his cloak and casually leaned against the wall of the castle, watching Zidane carefully, waiting to see what he would do.

That voice... where do I know him from? "I was expecting this, sooner or later," he said aloud, standing away from the wall. "Another wanderer between the crystals." He stepped forward into the sunlight. "Friend or foe?"

Ah! The memory clicked into place in Solidus' mind, and he actually smiled a little. "Don't tell me you've forgotten me already- Zidane."

"Heheh." Solidus stepped forward, his suit creaking a bit beneath the cloak, until he was standing in front of Zidane. "It's good to meet you face to face," he said, looking the boy up and down. "I wasn't expecting someone so mature to be so young."

"Of course." He nodded. "I'm not that old, either." He looked around for a moment to ensure they were still alone. "So. How are the forces of Cosmos faring so far?"

"I see. What about that green-haired woman?" Solidus asked as casually as he could. "She's a concern of mine. Did you know she's fought in this conflict before?"

"What?" Solidus was noticeably taken aback. "You mean you've been a part of this as well?" He pointed at Zidane.

"Yes... that clown seems only too pleased to be here again." Solidus frowned. "But he's a madman. What's your excuse? Why aid our captors by playing their game?"
