Arrival/Cosmos side for_cosmos January 29 2011, 14:00:04 UTC
[The warrior looks around at the stone walls. Yet another thing that was different about this war, that the battles- the ones that were truly important- occurred in a different location. It felt strange to be so unprepared for a battle, yet the only thing to be done was to continue on despite it.

After a moment of simply examining the area, he nods, then calls forth his sword and shield. He holds the blade in front of him for a moment, with his eyes closed, then looks upward.]

May the light guide us.

[Saleh arrives in the cave and studies it carefully. The corridors are rather narrow, which doesn't allow much space for movement. This is not good…]

[He checks his person for his three tomes, and examines the staff in his hands. He then moves along the corridor carefully, hoping he'll run into an ally before he runs into an enemy. Fortunately, before long, he spots the Warrior, with his sword and shield in hand.]

Pardon me…sir…

[It still feels strange without a real name to address the Warrior with.]

[The warrior glances up, ready to battle if whoever is approaching is a warrior of Chaos, but he relaxes slightly when he sees who it is. It doesn't mean that he completely lowers his guard, though. This is still battlefield, and it is difficult to tell where the enemy might be.]

Saleh.

[He notices the hesitation, and can guess the reason for it.]

"Warrior" will suffice.

"Warrior?" Very well.

[A pause.]

I'm grateful to have found you. Shall I join you for this battle?

It seems it would be best if we were to stay together. We don't know what we will come across.

Thank you.

[He stands by the Warrior's side, waiting for him to lead the way.]

By the way...have you spoken with Chris about his plan?

I have spoken to him. He was unwilling to give up his plan.

[He starts forward, taking the lead to make sure that they wouldn't be ambushed.]

[He follows, distracted by his thoughts for the moment.]

It is as I feared. So, if we run into him, and he tries to stop us? What would we do?

I do not wish to fight him, but I doubt that he will let us by. It may be that we will be forced to.

We may have to distract him. If we can reunite with a few more of our own, we can try reasoning with him, or fight if need be. And then one or more can sneak past.

I do not believe reasoning with him will work. He believes this to be the only way he will be able to get any answers about the situation he and his comrade are in.

Still, if we are able to avoid it, I would like to. He said that he had a good number of allies, on either side, but perhaps if we hurry, we will be able to reach the side of the Chaos warriors before he may encounter us. Eventually there will be a time to battle over this, but now is not the time.

That would be a sensible plan. Let us hurry.

[The warrior nods, and turns his attention to the corridors around them. They may be empty now, but sooner or later, they will have to run into someone.]

[He was, for lack of a better word, bored. Having no knowledge of the fate of either Terra or Ventus, Vanitas was now stuck trying to find new targets for his plan to forge the X-Blade. So for the moment he was content with finding anybody to destroy, it didn't matter who. After all, nobody here was strong enough to defeat him, or so Vanitas believed. What did he care for Cosmos or Chaos, what did this battle matter compared to the power he craved?

Hearing voices, he paused for a second, then summoned his keyblade. Silently he moved towards the voices, determined to prove to whoever was there the reality of how weak they truly were.]

[Saleh follows the Warrior, watching closely at the path ahead. Eventually, he spots the dark figure, who is all too recognizable. He comes to an abrupt halt, narrowing his eyes.]

It's you...

[Even if it can't be seen, Vanitas is smirking at the sight of his new prey. Oh yes this will be interesting.]

Me. This must be my lucky day, guess I have some new toys to play with.

[He slid into a fighting pose, eyes narrowing as he watched Saleh and the Warrior, waiting for one or both of them to make a move.]
