[Kain glances around, wary and prepared for anything to happen. After the other battles, he doesn't trust that anything will go as expected... and after what recently happened with Kefka and Terra, he doesn't exactly trust himself, either. He's agreed to the stalemate plan, but he's already thinking to stick to the fringes of that, just to ensure he doesn't betray anyone.]

[With a stern expression, Kain grips his spear tightly and begins on his way.]

[Haseo's seriously pissed off about this whole scenario. He fights who he wants when he wants, not some idiot god's whims. When he comes around the corner he sees that one idiot he killed before. Not worth the time or bother, in his opinion. All bark and no bite. He'll just stalk past with a disdainful scowl.]

[That won't do for Kain, who instantly goes into battle mode on seeing the one target he'd hoped to find. He takes to the air at once and makes an attempt to backstab.]

[Enjoy that first stab, because it's probably the only good hit you're going to get. Grunting from the impact, Haseo flicks his hands down and a pair of short swords appear. Far faster to attack with, just how he likes it. There's a smirk from him and he executes a Chaotic Strike, a rapid series of blows meant to barrel an enemy to the ground.]

noooo clue how to handle this overall btw. Kain isn't going to run away so this could get doomy >.>

[Kain smirks ever so briefly before the strike comes at him- and it hits hard, slamming him down.]

Let 'em slug at each other till one of them drops but doesn't K.O.?

[With the idiot on the ground, things got a lot easier for Haseo who is still feeling the stabbing but refusing to let it slow him down. A string of fast strikes come in, left right left right, sweeping in an upward motion rather than bearing down.]
