004 sat on the ground, staring at his right hand. The machine gun was gone and it looked like a normal human hand. For a moment, he thought that he'd suddenly become human, but a quick check of his shoulders revealed that he was still a cyborg. Still, he felt heavier, as though he had lost some of his strength. Worst of all, he seemed to be lost in unknown territory without a weapon. Yet, somehow, he felt that he did still have a weapon. That all he had to do was reach out his hand and...

A Keyblade, or something very similar to it, appeared in his hand. 004 gasped in surprise. He stared at the Keyblade for a while before pointing it straight up in the air.

"Wind!"

Just as it had for Ventus, the air in front of him began to swirl in a dangerous knot.

"This can't be real..."

A quick examination of his companions had revealed to Kurtis that everyone suddenly had different powers. Making a quick decision, Kurtis had decided to take a gamble and hope that the Chaos team was facing a similar upset. With little hesitation, Kurtis had grabbed the spear he found nearby and rushed toward the enemy hoping to catch them disoriented and off-guard.

He found his new powers very interesting. He was able to jump to incredible heights, but somehow he could never quite clear the walls of the labyrinth. It wasn't as graceful as the rocket feet he'd had when he was alive, but it felt incredibly liberating to be able to leap through the air without fear of exploding.

It would seem that Saleh had been unprepared yet again when he found himself on the battlefield. First he noticed his staff and tomes missing, but instead he had a certain red Rapier in his hand. Saleh picked up the weapon…isn't this Genesis' sword?

He held the Rapier vertically in front of him, bowing his head. Somehow, holding this sword felt so…right. Like he was supposed to wield it. And yet, he found that feeling a bit odd.

Spotting the green Prinny ahead, Saleh decided to catch up. Whatever feeling this was, it also made him feel more…confident. His duty remained, however, and he would fight as he would with his normal abilities.

"Kurtis."

Kurtis slowed down to allow Saleh to catch up. A sword? Had Saleh always carried a sword? Probably not, considering the spear Kurtis had found.

"Saleh. Have your abilities changed, too?"

Saleh once again looked down at the sword.

"It would seem so. I've never used a sword before, and yet..."

He held it horizontally, gliding his free hand across the red blade, a red flame igniting it as he did so. It only lasted for a few seconds before fading.

"I can use it as if it were my own."

"Aww man," moaned Jack, "If I lost dad's sword, Adele's gonna kill me."

Still, at least he had some sort of weapon, even if it was just a bunch of knives. He decided to make the best of things, and set off looking for his companions.

Terra was in a slight panic. She couldn't find her sword anywhere, only a bow and quiver of arrows. That and...she felt different, from within. The power she possessed was now changed, and a failed attempt to transform confirmed that. Whatever this new setting was doing to her, she didn't like it one bit.

However, it came to mind quickly that others might be facing the same issues; if this was truly the gods' will, then she doubted that giving voice to such panic was going to accomplish anything but wasted time. Doubtless Chaos' forces would move forward, and so must she. Cosmos's warriors couldn't afford to fail her, not again.

She bent to scoop up the bow and quiver...and felt oddly comfortable with the motion, as though it were long-ingrained habit. Slightly reassured with that, Terra slung the quiver over a shoulder and straightened. It was time to move forward.

All her life, Tifa had relied on her physical strength to fight her battles. And since arriving here, she had grown to rely on the power of her Premium Heart to enhance those abilities with the help of Materia spheres that it had been equipped with. So when she woke up in possession of a strange looking sword and a rubber at least she thinks it's rubber sphere, the young woman had been in a state of panic. But scrambling and searching around for her lost items came to no avail and Tifa gave a look of dismay while she glanced at the items that were given to her ( ... )

Upon spotting the young woman nearby, Terra's eyes widened as she focused in on the weapon being carried. "...Tidus' sword?!?" She glanced around quickly, hoping to see him, but there was no sign of her friend at the moment.

This was so weird. Confused and unsettled, Terra nonetheless turned her gaze back to the woman and nodded to the silent request. She wouldn't be here if she wasn't part of Cosmos' faction, that much was apparent. And Terra knew that with her changed powers, pairing up with someone was an infinitely wiser thing to do than go it alone. Even if it wouldn't last the overall battle, it was still better than nothing.

She fell into step slightly behind Tifa, ready to fight but instinctively knowing that she belonged in the back. An arrow was knocked and ready, though, ready to be fired at either a warrior of Chaos or mannequin.

Stepping out into the labyrinth, Tifa noted the blue arrow painted on the wall pointing in the opposite direction they were headed. Given past experiences, she could only guess that it was an indicator of Cosmos territory. After all, in the last battle, those of her faction had been given a faint blue glow in the darkness when the lights had flickered off. Red to those of Chaos. Then again, the young girl's assumptions could only be confirmed once a red arrow was sighted. And then it was only a matter of following them to see where they led ( ... )

Something was... off.

In fact, many things were currently messed up for Kain. His own mental struggle- a personality disorder unrelated to his abilities- had finally boiled over. Toothless wasn't here to fight beside him, and he couldn't bear the loss of his only true Chaos friend. Kuja had also done a lot to leave him unbalanced, and now... it was with a dark mental state that he began this battle. He didn't care who he ran into, he would cut them down...

...except his spear was nowhere in sight.

Oddly enough, this didn't seem to give him trouble, because for some reason he couldn't imagine himself lugging it around right now. When he tried to test his jumping capabilities, he found that he could rise on the air somewhat... to shoot a laser beam downward. This somehow came naturally to him, although he'd never been capable of it before. Was this to be the effect of this battle? Strange new powers? Kain smirked. He'd put them to good use if so.

The stately old magicianthief was meandering about through the labyrinth until he spotted a familiar fellow in blue armor. Eying Kain in prime curiosity, Albert approached with a faint smile upon his lips. The young knight seemed quite frazzled today along with countless others. The same goes for Albert too, since he isn't feeling so grand without his powers. He feels metaphorically naked today, and it's a horrid feeling.

"Ah, Kain." He greeted the other with a polite bow. "I take it all is fairing well in this war of ours." Albert thought since there was no mannequins around, that he could indulge himself in some much needed conversation.

"How do you fair, young man? You seem a tad...frustrated."

Kain still hadn't quite gotten a good feel for the new surroundings, so he naturally remained as tense and alert as ever. He glanced over at Albert. There was also something different this time in the way Kain's expression looked, since his personality had changed this time, just as much as his powers had.

"Frustrated doesn't even begin to describe it. This place... everyone in it... they're all better off dead!"

Another evil smirk spread across his face.

"And I intend to make that happen."

Albert sensed that something was amidst about the dragoon knight, and now he was cursing his luck today. "Oh my..." The magician let out a nervous laugh. "Are you feeling well, Kain? I never seen you so devious before." Something indeed is wrong with this young man, but what has happened to his little dragon friend? It seems that Toothless is nowhere to be found. Usually the dragoon and his dragon were always seen side-by-side, so hence Albert's mild dismay.

"Kain, are you feeling---how should I say this? Are you feeling different today?" He wanted to ask the man if he was feeling 'psychotic', but that wouldn't be polite of him.
