A Keyblade, or something very similar to it, appeared in his hand. 004 gasped in surprise. He stared at the Keyblade for a while before pointing it straight up in the air.
"Wind!"
Just as it had for Ventus, the air in front of him began to swirl in a dangerous knot.
"This can't be real..."

He found his new powers very interesting. He was able to jump to incredible heights, but somehow he could never quite clear the walls of the labyrinth. It wasn't as graceful as the rocket feet he'd had when he was alive, but it felt incredibly liberating to be able to leap through the air without fear of exploding.

He held the Rapier vertically in front of him, bowing his head. Somehow, holding this sword felt so…right. Like he was supposed to wield it. And yet, he found that feeling a bit odd.
Spotting the green Prinny ahead, Saleh decided to catch up. Whatever feeling this was, it also made him feel more…confident. His duty remained, however, and he would fight as he would with his normal abilities.
"Kurtis."

"Saleh. Have your abilities changed, too?"

"It would seem so. I've never used a sword before, and yet..."
He held it horizontally, gliding his free hand across the red blade, a red flame igniting it as he did so. It only lasted for a few seconds before fading.
"I can use it as if it were my own."

Still, at least he had some sort of weapon, even if it was just a bunch of knives. He decided to make the best of things, and set off looking for his companions.

However, it came to mind quickly that others might be facing the same issues; if this was truly the gods' will, then she doubted that giving voice to such panic was going to accomplish anything but wasted time. Doubtless Chaos' forces would move forward, and so must she. Cosmos's warriors couldn't afford to fail her, not again.
She bent to scoop up the bow and quiver...and felt oddly comfortable with the motion, as though it were long-ingrained habit. Slightly reassured with that, Terra slung the quiver over a shoulder and straightened. It was time to move forward.

This was so weird. Confused and unsettled, Terra nonetheless turned her gaze back to the woman and nodded to the silent request. She wouldn't be here if she wasn't part of Cosmos' faction, that much was apparent. And Terra knew that with her changed powers, pairing up with someone was an infinitely wiser thing to do than go it alone. Even if it wouldn't last the overall battle, it was still better than nothing.
She fell into step slightly behind Tifa, ready to fight but instinctively knowing that she belonged in the back. An arrow was knocked and ready, though, ready to be fired at either a warrior of Chaos or mannequin.

In fact, many things were currently messed up for Kain. His own mental struggle- a personality disorder unrelated to his abilities- had finally boiled over. Toothless wasn't here to fight beside him, and he couldn't bear the loss of his only true Chaos friend. Kuja had also done a lot to leave him unbalanced, and now... it was with a dark mental state that he began this battle. He didn't care who he ran into, he would cut them down...
...except his spear was nowhere in sight.
Oddly enough, this didn't seem to give him trouble, because for some reason he couldn't imagine himself lugging it around right now. When he tried to test his jumping capabilities, he found that he could rise on the air somewhat... to shoot a laser beam downward. This somehow came naturally to him, although he'd never been capable of it before. Was this to be the effect of this battle? Strange new powers? Kain smirked. He'd put them to good use if so.

"Ah, Kain." He greeted the other with a polite bow. "I take it all is fairing well in this war of ours." Albert thought since there was no mannequins around, that he could indulge himself in some much needed conversation.
"How do you fair, young man? You seem a tad...frustrated."
Reply
"Frustrated doesn't even begin to describe it. This place... everyone in it... they're all better off dead!"
Another evil smirk spread across his face.
"And I intend to make that happen."
Reply
"Kain, are you feeling---how should I say this? Are you feeling different today?" He wanted to ask the man if he was feeling 'psychotic', but that wouldn't be polite of him.
