Another mannequin had fallen after being enshrouded by light magic, and Micaiah let out a soft sigh. She'd been at this for a few hours, now, give or take - training herself up. She wasn't particularly in need of it, but... it made her look busy, which was the purpose. She hadn't been keen on hunting the others on Chaos from the start, for many reasons. Partly from the fact it was wrong, partly for the fact she could never do that to her own comrades new or old, and partly Chaos' chosen method of branding someone, which had irritated her for a while.
And though that had somewhat blown over for the time being, it was probably going to resurface at some point. She wanted to be doing something, to look like she was going along with Chaos' whims... whilst really, she was avoiding them.
But there wasn't really that much to improve on right now, other than keeping herself sharp. Sure, she could get better, but there was only so many times she could use her light magic on a mannequin with acute precision. She needed a break from it, to do something else instead.
"Something I've been avoiding?" she said under her breath, eyes glazed over as she stared across from her at the barren Rift, despite its constant changing.
Slowly, Micaiah looked around, and, seeing nothing, tucked her tome under one arm, and, with her right hand, slowly withdrew the dagger she'd had on her since arriving here. She hadn't used it... hadn't had much of a reason to do so, just to practice her magic. Looking at it, it reminded her of something else. Or someone, to be more specific. But those were the thoughts she shook off as quickly as they came. It was a weapon, nothing more. And, if she had it, shouldn't she try using it?
