Despite that, the light was still poorly lit, and the room was dirty and run down. Saleh quickly dislodged his attention from the lights and looked around for his partner-to-be. However, there was no guarantee that he would find her in this mess.
"Celes...?"
He called out somewhat softly, hoping that Celes would hear him, but also hoping that the enemies wouldn't hear him.

"I am she. You must be Saleh." She replied in an equally soft tone. "I think the best defensive location would be... over there." She indicated an area partially obstructed by a large fallen ceiling panel that could provide at least partial cover for the spell-caster, but still had enough room on either side - and enough room underneath - for him or her to make a speedy exit were they discovered. "We can snipe at intruders with magic from here, and I will attack anyone who comes too close to you. Your thoughts?"
If he had any better ideas, now was the time to speak up.

He looked over the area that Celes pointed out and listened to her explanation. Right now, he couldn't think of any better ideas.
"It seems a sensible plan," he replied.

After following her to the ceiling panel, Saleh brought out his Divine tome, a spell that would be perfect for sniping enemies from his hiding place. He also had his healing staff close at hand, just in case he needed to heal someone or defend himself from a melee attack.
There was no need to waste words. Saleh peered around the panel at the people within the room, occasionally glancing in other directions for any would-be assailants from the rear.
