I've heard a lot of names lately, but those don't stand out to me. But since people are still filtering in instead of arriving all at once, maybe they'll be drawn to this place, too. Or maybe you'll find someone else you know.

[That was all the reassurance she could give, a 'maybe.']

I'm Terra. Cosmos called me, too. I don't have all the answers about this place, but I know a fair bit, so if you have more questions I'll try to explain what I can.

[Simple question, complicated answer. But Terra tries her best to clarify.]

The place you awoke in is Cosmos's domain, which is also called Order's sanctuary. It's about the safest place there is for us. Outside it is a patchwork collection of realms from other places...battlegrounds, really. Then there's Chaos' domain, where his own forces must be gathered. None of the places are physically connected, but you can travel between them by using crystals scattered around. If you walk into their light, toward them, you'll end up somewhere else.

...I know it must sound strange, but it really use less complicated than it seems, once you get used to it.

Hmm... [strange? it sounds utterly insane! but hey, she can roll with that for now] So we're just waiting for a whistle or something? I mean... Are there no battles yet or...

If there aren't right now, there will be. Any time you encounter someone working for Chaos, there's likely to be combat. We have a task, to find the crystals...and since it's possible that they know about it, they're going to want to stop us.

[She frowns a bit, in thought.]

Some friends and I have been here before. I think we're going to have to explain to people how to get the crystals...at least, how it happened last time. This time could be different, but it doesn't hurt to have all the information at hand. Tidus or Zidane would make a better spokesperson than me, though....

And...how do I know who's with Chaos and who's with Cosmos? [crystals she can work with, hey, she hunts spheres for a living, what's a small swap in the job description?] I can handle that, get the crystals, stop the bad guys. Easy!

No, I'm not. We met here. He fought for Cosmos in the last war, so that's how we know each other.

[She's about to answer Rikku's other question, when curiosity gets the better of her.]

Are you from Zanarkand, then? Or...are you from that place called Spira? If you are, I need to know something.

I'm from Spira, yeah. I'm Al Bhed, I knew Tidus when he was helping us defeat SIN. What...whad do ya wanna know?

Well...a short while back, I heard someone speaking over the crystal. He sounded like Tidus, but it couldn't have possibly been him, from the things he said. He was cruel, taunting...just vile. Tidus doesn't remember him, though.

...is there any chance you can shed some light on that?

That's Shuyin. We thought he was Tidus too, but they only look and sound the same. That's where it ends. Shuyin is from way, way, way before my time in Spira, and probably a good bit after Tidus.

He's a meanie, so don't listen to him. He wants to destroy Spira!

[Terra's shoulders sagged in relief--not at such dire news, but finally, someone knew that man's identity.]

Thank you. We were all wondering and I know it's been driving Tidus crazy, wondering who he could be. So, he really isn't related to Tidus at all? We thought he might be that or some kind of copy....

...why does he want to destroy Spira?

[there's a snort, because woah, way different] Nah, Shuyin is all dark and nasty, but Tidus is completely different, y'know? [except for that whole anything for the love of a girl thing, but that's different too]

Well, I zoned out on a lot of the history, cause man that old guy can talk, but Shuyin is unsent -and that's when a person dies but doesn't move on to the Farplane. He died trying to save Lenne, the girl he loved, but he was doing it all wrong, and Lenne stopped him, but they died.

He blames Spira, thinks that nothing has changed. He's pretty crazy. And way dangerous.

No wonder he's on the side of Chaos, then. There's someone I know well on that side, Kefka. He only cares about destruction. If they team up....

We'll just have to be prepared for him, then. Is there anything special he can do that we ought to watch out for?

We were on our way to stop him when I got called here. I dunno what he can do, but I bet it ain't pretty.
