[There's a view of the Empyreal Paradox area before the crystal is set down. Kain then jabs his spear into the ground, forcefully, picking it up with his other hand. Something about this place in particular sets him on edge, but he can't explain why. For now though, he actually has a purpose to this transmission. [Which would be true, were there a dragon at all to be located. Kain can't imagine one of the gods would just let him go if they needed the power on their side. More dread.]

It's not so much about winning the war... as protecting one's own.

[He'd not use his dragon friend like some mindless weapon, after all. Nor does he care to follow the lines between the gods' sides. He'll betray both sides for various reasons.]

...but I'll do everything I possibly can to assure that my comrades survive.

[Even if it meant hurting them, he realizes, as disturbing and wrong it could be to some people. But anything, to save them in the long run...]
