[While she doesn't stir up any of his current memories... his instincts tell him she might not be so wrong in that thought.]

Perhaps... but most of my memories appear to be lost. Yours as well?

People, places, but mostly from before I was here. Not here in particular. I'm Namine.

[He considers a moment.]

It could be possible we've met, and forgotten. I remember very few people from before.

I see. [A pause...] Do we really have to fight?

It appears to be our purpose. What choice do we have?

Will anything happen to us if we don't?

[And now he's realized that the crystals don't exactly tell any information about the people he's seeing in them.]

Who were you summoned by?

[Her entire expression seems to frown.]

Chaos.

[bound_skyward]

[He sighs. It would make no difference to him who he was awakened to fight for, if it weren't for Terra being on the enemy's side.]

Likewise. It seems we're meant to fight in his name.

Do you think, he might have called us here by mistake?

[bound_skyward]

A mistake...?

[Kain actually hasn't yet come to that conclusion on his own. But it's an interesting one.]

It's possible. Or perhaps there's a reason to it that we don't yet understand.

[And they probably don't have the time to find the answers...]

They'll come for us, right? The Warriors of Cosmos? They'll fight us. . .

If Cosmos has given them reason to do so, then yes. I believe we must prepare to defend ourselves.

[And part of him thinks he'd best remain loyal to Chaos' cause, but he has at least two exceptions on the other side already.]

Will they, kill us if they have to?

Possibly... although some of them might not.
