014 [Filtered to CHAOS]

[Well, since things aren't exactly going to plan on the Cosmos front, Saleh was curious as to how things were on the Chaos side. He has to get information from there, but he would not be so reckless as to venture alone into Chaos territory. So he'll try to gather information from his warriors, though doubtful that not many of them will cooperate ( Read more... )

Why do you want to know?

[He can already tell that he's not going to get any useful answers from this one. And so he'll be cautious with his answers as well.]

I'm...merely curious, is all.

I'm sure you are. Eager to see how close Chaos is to collapse after his latest defeat?

Not exactly...

[He paused, debating on whether to share the information...but then decided that he had to in order to get anywhere.]

Something...happened with Cosmos. Some of my comrades believe Chaos had a hand in it, but I hesitate to jump to that conclusion.

So I've heard. She stood you all up for your date, didn't she?

Cosmos' jewelry collection is two pieces larger than Chaos' by now. If these crystals are as potent as they're supposed to be, I'd be surprised if he could still be a match for her. Let alone prevent her from showing herself...

Perhaps there are more to these crystals than we know. The bright light and the sudden influx of Cosmos mannequins...I highly doubt that would be Chaos's doing.

That's right. There's a balance that's been upset somewhere. Whatever rules this game has, they've changed. It's good that you've started to ask questions about it.

I've got my own questions. Tell me: if one of us was to offer a surrender, would you accept it?

There have been many answers we have been searching for from the beginning. Some we have found, and others we have not.

[PRIVATE]

A surrender?

[That certainly makes him curious.]

That's right. What would you do with someone who surrendered? Are there prison facilities in your territory? Would rooms appear in Cosmos' base for them?

Besides that hostage nonsense, no one seems to have thought much about what happens with their enemies when they aren't defeated outright. But you're not the type to execute defenseless combatants, are you?

I haven't seen any prison facilities in our territory. However, if one surrenders willingly, I see no need for such.

I do not wish to take any lives, defenseless or not.

How interesting.

Tell me, have you ever seen a Mannequin hesitate or hold back? They don't take prisoners, do they?

I've not seen mannequins hesitate. But they are nothing but pale imitations. We cannot compare them to the real warriors.

That's right, we can't. They're just constructs, after all... derivatives of the originals. [He chuckles darkly to himself at some private joke.]

So, I suppose you have something in mind if you're asking these questions?

Me? Heh.

I'm merely curious, is all.
