He won't even give us a decent reason for being here. Making excuses for himself is probably the least of his worries.

As for the building, I couldn't see much. Just an empty room. I couldn't get in, either.

[Laughs wearily, in spite of himself.] Good point. Still...for some reason, despite everything, I'm somewhat disappointed we lost.

[Her voice gets warmer.] It's understandable. I can't say I care who wins, and I'm glad for those on the other side... but we never know what's going to happen when we lose. Plus it's never a good feeling to know that you gave it your all only to lose in the end. It's only natural to be disappointed.

Just outta curiosity...why don't you care who wins?

[A brief pause as she considers her answer.]

...I don't... consider either one of these "gods" to be better than the other. They've each done the same thing to all of us, even if they go about it different ways. I don't know if "winning" and "losing" will mean anything as far as the fighters are concerned, but I have people I care about on both sides--in that regard, I can't really favor one team over the other.

Yeah...I kinda feel the same way. I don't support whatever agenda Chaos has, but I can't be entirely certain of the goddess' motives either. She seems a little too "good" and "pure" to me, which makes me kinda skeptic of her and how much she really values her warriors. She still forced them here, after all. I'm kinda wary of gods in general, anyway. Whether it's for "harmony" or "destruction", they still care more about accomplishing their goal than they do whatever pawns they force to carry it out. They have no idea what it's like to be mortal.

And I have friends on both sides, too.

[She's nodding to herself] Agreed. "Chaos" and "Harmony" are just titles. Words. Cosmos might come off as the more merciful of the two, but I haven't seen her do a thing more to protect her people than Chaos has for us. People have died for her... and been put in positions that they never should have. There's nothing "good" about that.

[Softer--she speaks from way too much experience.] ...I'm sorry. No one should ever have to raise a hand against someone they care about.

Not to mention that the very idea of bringing everyone together under "Order" or whatever they choose to call it doesn't stray far from dictatorship in my mind. We're humans...or at least, most of us here are. If it weren't for chaotic ways of thinking, we wouldn't have made any progress. And in my world, if it weren't for rebellion, we'd have still been ruled by the military and its corrupt leader.

Not everything is in terms of black and white! I wish Cosmos' warriors could see that, because there's a lot of good people there.

I think it's natural for them to want to trust Cosmos, especially when they see the kind of person Chaos is outright in comparison. I can't entirely blame them.

Then again, maybe that's Chaos' and Cosmos' intention, if there's even more to this conflict than meets the eye. The typical "good cop, bad cop" routine.
