[Voice] -backdated to after the battle ends

[Too weary to bother with video, and besides that he's still not feeling good. But he has to say something.]

I never want to have an experience like that again. Whoever possesses the power to explode, I... don't envy you.

[A slight pause.]

...And to anyone I betrayed, I apologize.

The power to explode!? You didn't...

Do you know something about it?

Unless there's another Prinny here, you must have had my powers during the battle.

It must have been so. I was flung into a wall, and upon impact... that explosion happened. I also had the ability to shoot energy beams and a pair of unusual gauntlets.

...What's a Prinny?

Those must have been my powers, then. I invented those gauntlets and one of those beams.

When a sinful human dies in my world their soul is placed in the body of a minor demon until they pay for their sins. These are called Prinnies. Even though we're low-level demons, a few Prinnies manage to become very powerful. Some can even fire a beam of demonic energy known as Pringer Beam.

So I had the powers of a sinful soul. That... seems appropriate.

At the time I knew exactly how to use them, as if I always had. The same for that Pringer Beam.

I felt the same way about the abilities I'd gained. Your skills, maybe? It must have taken you a lot of training to jump like that.

The jumping is an ability that all dragoons possess. Along with the use of a spear.

Dragoon, huh? Are you a human?

I'm human. Where I'm from the Dragoons are a special type of knight class, trained in the aerial combat you experienced.

I see. We don't have any fighters like that in my home world. I have seen demons with similar fighting styles, but not quite the same.

I'm certainly no demon or monster... or anything of that sort.

[A little defensive there, since Kain needs to dissociate himself from a certain set of fiends he used to side with.]

No, I didn't mean to imply that I thought you were. Besides, there's nothing wrong with most demons. I'm proud to call some of them friends.

I'd never befriend such fiends in my world...

That's how a lot of humans feel. And it's understandable. Most demons work hard to make themselves seem evil, and they don't understand why humans value their lives the way they do. But the truth is, they aren't evil. Just different.

Just... different. [And now Kain is trying to get that through his mind.] ...and you said that Prinnies such as yourself are also a type of demon?
