I know someone on the other side. He shouldn't be, but...he is. I don't want to fight him and I hope I won't have to, though I don't know what will happen. I only hope his memories return....

[He's listening, intent and curious, and nodding as she speaks. He gets it, and he's hoping she doesn't have to face him either.

There's a long pause as she asks him that question though, eyes averting just a little, the answer clear as anything.]

[There's a sympathetic look and though she wouldn't wish all this turmoil on anyone, at least there's another who understands.]

...I don't understand why this would be happening. People have been called from the same world before, but they were enemies, already opposing each other. I've never seen friends forced onto opposite sides before.

I don't know why, either. It's not fair- Fang's a part of the group I'm in, back home. Part of my family. I don't want to fight her.

[He shakes his head at this, frustrated. When he looks back up, there's a fierceness in his eyes.]

I made a promise, back home- that I would make my own choices from now on, and not regret them. I don't want to fight Fang, and I'll do whatever I can not to. Friends shouldn't have to be on opposite sides.

Fang...I'll remember that name, and I'll try not to fight her. I'm going to ask Cosmos about all this, when she appears...whenever that happens.

[There's that worried look again. Why hasn't Cosmos shown herself?]

When she mentions Cosmos showing up, you can see him tilt his head a little curiously.]

She's actually supposed to show up sometime? I thought we were just given our tasks, and that's it.

Well...she did before, in the first quest to seek the crystals. Cosmos spoke to us at the beginning and explained what needed to be done. She also appeared a few times, to people still on their journies.

[She bows her head.]

...and later, she sacrificed herself, so that we could defeat Chaos. I never thought I would hear her voice again...but I did. We all did. Maybe...maybe she hasn't, because she's still recovering from that. I don't know.
