I don't know how many of you have talked to him yet, but- the new guy, who said he knew people were here? That's Barthandelus. He goes by the name of Dysley too, that's his human name. I know he sounds like he knows everything and he's better than you, but he's not.
[He pauses, trying to think of what to say with things happening now. With Cid and Barthandelus now on the same side, would he be using him again, like before?]
Be careful. The guy rules most of the people back home on Cocoon, so he's turned most of them there against us easily. You shouldn't trust him, either- he's used others to get what he wants. Barthandelus is trying to get us to destroy our own world, to bring back the Maker, to create a new one in its place.
...and no matter what he says, l'Cie aren't toys. We're not his pawns. I'm the one who chooses my own fate, and I won't do whatever he says.
