Hey guys. You know Kain? The guy with the armor and the spear? He's one of the ones who were branded. I don't think he's really a bad guy, he was just trying to help his friends, but that still makes him our enemy. So be careful if you see him.

Kain was branded, really?

Yeah. During the battle he turned against me to join two Cosmos warriors. It's too bad we have to fight them, they seemed like nice people.

He did what his heart told him to then, if he was helping his friends. We can't fault him for that.

I agree. It's a lot like a choice I once made. But that doesn't change the fact that he's our enemy, now. He has his fate to follow, and we have ours.

So, you're going to hunt him now?

No way! I don't want to fight him. But if I run into him on the battlefield, I won't hesitate to attack.

You'd fight him before giving reason a chance?

Reason? You mean, like, talking to him?

If it's possible. Why fight when both parties can come to an agreement or an understanding without it?

Last time I was in a war like this I just got caught up in the flow of events. It was all I could do to protect my friend, Ridley. There was no way I could have gotten the two sides to talk. Even when I met my old friends, there wasn't any choice but to fight. They were protecting their people just like I was protecting Ridley. Do you think this war might be different? Do you think the Chaos and Cosmos armies will listen to each other?

Not everyone will listen. It doesn't take everyone though. It just takes people with a common cause to rally together and make a real difference for events to change.

Besides, how do you know the side we're fighting for is the right side? Or the one their fighting for is the right side?

Well, I thought winning the war was the only way for us to get home. And I know protecting Ridley is the right thing to do. And I can only do that if I get home. So I figured fighting for Chaos was the right choice.

Why? Because Chaos is the one who chose you? Who's right about this war? Cosmos? Chaos? Any of them? What says something won't happen to our homes if one god is defeated over the other?

Something might happen to our homes!? How can we prevent that?

I don't know if they will, or won't. I'm saying is that we should try our best and discover more before we continue to fight each other so blindly.

Alright, I'll try. But do you think they'll listen? They're trying to get back to their world, too, right?
