[The crystal is angled up at Celes' furrowed brow and scowling lips, making her appear to be even taller and more menacing than she is in person. Its image bounces in time to the rapid clicking of her booted footfalls.]
If this is your idea of a joke, I am not amused! I at least had the common courtesy to warp with you and Gestahl instead of

She knows that she should simply cut off the transmission, but she can't bring herself to. Not after he said all that in that faux-rational tone for everyone to hear.
Against all better judgment, she speaks.]
Don't you dare try to play the noble hero now. I know for a fact that you were only spying on me because you thought I was...
[Celes grimaces in disgust.]
...cheating on you. I would never!
You were saving countless Imperial lives at Doma? That's news to me. All of our soldiers stationed inside the city, some of which were personal friends of mine, died from the poison. I only defected because I weighed their lives and the lives of all of the innocent Doman civilians as being more important than mine.
You didn't kill the Espers to protect anyone. I heard your gleeful little outburst regarding all of the shiny new powers you gained from their deaths, and so did everyone else that was present.
Leo and Gestahl only attacked you because you drove them to it. They, like me, had enough inherent goodness in them to realize when their quest for world domination had gone too far. Granted, it took the imminent destruction of said world for Gestahl to have second thoughts, but the important thing is that he did.
Terra is no more a double agent than you are a martyr. Nothing you've said thus far has been true except maybe one small thing that I cannot prove one way or the other, so I have no reason to believe you.

[Lie number one.]
As for Doma, it pained me to condemn our comrades in arms, but they were Imperial Soldiers, and to die in the name of the Empire was the highest honor I could have given them, regrettable as it was.
[Lie number two.]
The Espers were unbalanced and a threat to the safety of both the Empire and world at large. The by-product of the magicite having a beneficial potential to the Imperial people's lives was a happy coincidence.
[Lie number three.]
I'll admit, I did find some satisfaction in besting Leo. He had long been attempting to take my place at the Emperor's side, openly sabotaging me with false accusations. The Emperor, however, was most lamentable. The prospect of harnessing the Triad's power was too much of a temptation for him. He would have been consumed by the power and would have brought an end to all life. I only wished to bring peace and order to the world, until your ninja friend disturbed the balance and trapped me within the vortex of power.
[Lie number four.]
Terra had even you convinced? Think for a moment Celes. Why would I lead only a unit of three soldiers and armors to reclaim Terra at Figaro, and pursue them only until the South Figaro cave? It was Terra that alerted us to the Returners' secret base, and that led us to the sealed gate of the Espers, and allowed the floating continent to rise.
[Lie number five.]
I make no claim to be a martyr, but you must realize that Terra was indeed working for me for far after the slave crown was removed. She always had been a skilled actress, but I never thought she'd convince even you, darling.

Oh my, this is indeed going to be FUN~!
[After a long bout of cackles, his expression darkens again, looking at the now inactive crystal.]
The ungrateful wench will rue the day she spurned me...
