[The crystal is angled up at Celes' furrowed brow and scowling lips, making her appear to be even taller and more menacing than she is in person. Its image bounces in time to the rapid clicking of her booted footfalls.]
If this is your idea of a joke, I am not amused! I at least had the common courtesy to warp with you and Gestahl instead of

I'm here...but I don't think you'll like what I have to tell you.

[Celes sighs in relief and smiles softly.]
I'm so glad you're... healthy, at least. You look good.
What's wrong?

[Pause.]
I don't really remember anything from before I arrived. Some things are familiar to me, but...Sabin arriving here just before you did is the reason why I know who you are. The other names are a little familiar too, but....
[She shakes her head, apologetic.]
I'm sorry.

You aren't making any sense, Dearest. We were together, just a moment ago, at the Floating Continent. Does that name sound familiar?
Or perhaps...
Perhaps time travel was involved? No... don't be ridiculous, Chere!
[Celes stifles a laugh at herself.]
There is no such thing as time travel! And even if there was, Kefka couldn't possibly know how to master it well enough to send people into the future or the past, or he would have simply gone back in time and slaughtered everyone he hated, including me, while we were still infants. Or better yet, slaughtered our parents before we were even born.My apologies. I just had a stupid thought ( ... )

I think this place is outside time, so it's not that unbelievable to me. We definitely weren't together a moment ago, from my view.
[She peers past Celes and through the crystal.]
Oh! I know where you are. I can meet you, but...I need to look for a missing friend, too. If you can come with me, I can explain on the way.

I will be more than happy to help you in your search. Before this separation, we were friends, good friends who worked quite well together, so...
I wonder if we will become friends again.
Let's continue where we left off.

Alright. I'll be there soon.
[Then Terra closes her hand over the crystal, deactivating it for the time being.
She returns to Order's Sanctuary after a few moments, glancing around for the blonde woman. Given the near-featureless terrain and the way anyone would stand out against it, that shouldn't be difficult.]
...Celes?

[Celes rushes toward the source of the voice until the green haired girl comes into view. She leans forward with her arms stretched out to hug her friend, but stops herself.]
Wait, she doesn't know me anymore.
[She averts her eyes and shifts her weight uncomfortably.]
Sorry. Who exactly are we looking for, now? A mutual friend, perhaps?

I don't think so. His name is Zidane. He has blond hair and a...tail. Anyway, he's usually pretty talkative...but I haven't heard from him over the crystal lately. I think he might be in trouble.
[She turns, pointing ahead.]
That's the route I was taking, so we can double back since people are taking other areas. I'll show you how to travel around here.

I've certainly never met a man with a... tail. My best friend forgetting me, men with tails, barren landscapes, bizarre crystals that double as communication devices... Perhaps this is just an exceptionally vivid nightmare. All I have to do is...
[Celes pinches the back of her hand, hard. It hurts.]
No such luck.
I hate my life.
[Celes tries desperately not to sulk. She nods in the direction where Terra is pointing without making eye contact.]
All right. Lead the way.

Celes...how did we meet? It was during this time when we were fighting Kefka, right?

[Celes laughs, then sighs a little sadly. They sure had found ways to enjoy themselves while faced with a dreadful past and an uncertain future.]

I wish I could remember all that. Maybe with your influence, I will.
[She steps into the crystal's light, leading the way, and appears in the Crystal World, atop the main platform. Automatically, she steps away from the crystal and moves to give Celes room when she arrives.]

If all else fails, you can create new memories. I imagine you've already made some, since you've mentioned a new friend?
[She glances over at Terra with a slight smile.]
You were once so painfully shy. I'm glad you've made a friend here.

[Terra walks to the edge of the platform, then looks back.]
This area is part of Cosmos' territory, but that's no reason to let your guard down. Unlike Order's Sanctuary, warriors of Chaos can reach this place. We have some help on our side, though. Mannequins -crystalline copies of everyone here- will help us in this area...though once we reach neutral territory, that won't be true anymore. There, they'll attack anyone close enough. And some are far more powerful than others, but there's no way to tell until you actually fight them.
They're best avoided unless you're looking to train. Otherwise, they are just one more method to wear us down while we seek our goal.

Perhaps some greater force, some universal justice somehow gathered us all together. But it all seemed like pure coincidence to me.
Understood. I'll be careful out there.
[Cooly, Celes scans the area for enemies, but sees none, at least thus far.]
