[The girl staring at the crystal is silent for a moment. She's not actually staring at the crystal, of course, but rather sort of... through it at nothingness that happens to be in the proper direction. There's something very muddled and mildly afraid about the way she's holding her shoulders. It's clear she wants to speak, and also clear that her internal battles are keeping her from doing so.
This goes on for a few minutes. But hey, it's better than the screaming, right?
Rather suddenly her eyes shift into focus and her lips part slightly to speak. She catches herself, hesitates, shakes her head like she'll be able to shake the words out of her mouth. It sort of works.]
