Hello? Can anyone hear me…? I saw people speaking on here before, but I wasn’t sure exactly how-
[A pause, and the young woman speaking into the crystal hesitates, as if still not entirely sure that she’s doing the right thing. She steels herself, however, and looks back into it, face set in a mixture of hope and firm resolve.]My name is Serah

So I guess you are looking for some friends?

Have you heard of either of them?

I'm not sure what you mean by focus, but...I know that people with such names have arrived here.

[Her voice is quiet, and somewhat torn between pleased and worried.]
Do you... ah- thank you for telling me. Would you happen to know where they are?
Reply
I don't know where they are at the moment, but I'm sure they're around nearby.
...I'm Terra Branford, by the way. I'm sorry I can't be more specific about that, but I'll try to answer any other questions you might have.

Well- I have a lot of questions, but I guess the most important one right now is-- 'where am I?'

[And she's off, sprinting across the area back toward the building where their rooms were. That was the most likely place for someone to start off, right?]
Serah!? [She'll only call the name once though, as she's getting near. She's not like Snow--he'd rampage all around the area bellowing her name like a sick cow, when he found out she was here. But that wasn't more than a passing thought. All of her thoughts right now are overwhelmed by FIND SERAH.]

[She could have sworn she heard her sister. Heard her name. But when nothing else comes from the crystal, she almost gives up until she hears her name again- louder this time, from behind her. She turns, eyes widening, expression torn between concern and happiness. Happiness wins, and she turns toward Lightning, almost dropping her crystal in the process.]
Lightning!
[And she moves to meet her, arms open- she had been so worried--!]

She's full to the brim with guilt and regret, but not a single ounce of regret that she's got Serah here and now, in the flesh and not just a teardrop crystal they talked to when they felt lost.
Softly but with purpose, and without releasing her from the hug:] Nothing will ever happen to you again. You'll be safe, even hear... I promise. [This is actually more for herself than for Serah, but shh, don't tell Lightning that.]

[She wants to ask more- but with the way Lightning's holding onto her, she thinks it can wait. For the moment, it's all she can do to keep herself from crying at the sight of her sister.
She was alright, Lightning was alright-- and if Snow really was here too, then he was alright as well, wasn't he? If so then for the moment, Serah had nothing more important to focus on than her sister.]
Lightning-- I'm so glad... I'm so happy to see you...!

[She smiles, but it's a little absentminded, like she's off thinking about something else.]
This crystal-- is it a l'Cie crystal, or...?

[She looks more than a little relieved at his reply, though she also looks a little more confused as she looks back at him.]
Are you here to fight as well, like Terra said?
Reply
Which obviously means that there's something definitely screwy with their own timeline here. Just where exactly was she from?]
Serah? Aren't you Light's-?
Reply
Oh.]
...you're... the boy from the Vestige, aren't you?
Reply
Yeah, I am. Are you okay?
Reply
I'm... fine, thank you. Just-- a little confused, you know?
