My first semester of graduate is behind me. I haven't updated this since the beginning of the semester, so there is much to tell. Unfortunately, there's so much I can't possibly think of it all--nor would I want to spend the time to write it all down now.
So let's see.
How did I manage? After writing a 28.5 pg paper for Israeli-Arab Conflict, a 10 pg data analysis for Research Methods, and three 5 pg papers and a 5 pg research question for International Relations, I am tired. I'm more than ready to begin reading for fun and writing for success.
I know of two grades so far, both A's, in Research Methods and Int. Relations. I'm ecstatic over those.
My teaching assistantship with Dr. Lenz went well. I didn't have as much work as some of the other TA's, but that may change next semester.
Nicole began a literary magazine, Imprimatur, that I am an editor for.
I submitted two stories, An Abundance of Possession and Uncle Dom's Place, to Coastlines. One of Nicole's poems was selected as a finalist for the Brogan poetry award. How exciting!
My goal is to read four books over the break. I have one almost complete--The Human Stain by Philip Roth. I also want to write and send out The World Builder to a magazine.
That's all I can think of now. Perhaps I'll write more soon.
