2008...smells like "new car" potpourri.
2007 the short version
Work: laid off in March from Verizon, did writing project for Dan through May, worked contract for Ajilon July through October. Filled in gaps with part-time B&N and a fun 2-week-2-day stint as substitute receptionist for my mom's company in June.
Vacations: Disneyland during spring break, Anime Expo in July, Blizzcon in August, Havasupai in October.
Hobbies: WoW expansion BC in January, created guild Vox Draconis in August and have leveled 2 alt chars (Vianne to 60, Nimowyn to 48) and begun a regular Kara run with Mallace.
Health: still about 50 lbs. overweight. But done plenty of research on how to rememdy that. Now if I only had the time to buy expensive non-processed foods and spend an hour before every meal of the day cooking. Oh, and an hour working out.
The general concensus: 2007 was filled with job-hopping, constantly stressed out about money and generally a sucky year in my opinion. There are some highlights (see: vacations) but overall, I'm hoping 2008 isn't nearly as craptastical
2008 so far: I FUCKING QUIT THAT STUPID ASS CAFE JOB FINALLY. Or rather, the job itself wasn't so bad (certainly I adored the discount on coffee and books and *most* of the people I worked with) but I couldn't stand the new psycho-bitch-from-hell manager. If I ever see her again I want to scratch her eyes out and tell her to her face that everyone knows she's a filthy lying whore that gets her jollies from talking down to everyone. And that's just the nice part of what I'd want to say. THAT being said, I have my final interview for BoA on Tuesday. Cross your fingers for me.
Plans for this year: be not as fat, celebrate Aaron's graduation, go back to school, AX2008, and a new place to live. Also 5 year dating anniversary, 2 year marriage anniversary. Here's hoping this year is better than the last.
